We are looking for an extremely special home for our disabled baby grey,if you are already put off,then please dont contact,as you are obviously not the home we are looking for,little jake was born with a twisted leg,he has had extensive surgery to try and correct this,but his little foot still sits on its side,further surgery is not an option,as we have reached the end of the road for anything to make it better than it is now,he can perch,and he can climb,and he dose try to hold food in his poorly foot,and the vet is positive that over time,the flexibility in his toes will improve,as they are at the moment they stay pretty much clenched,but we have seen small improvements since coming out of his plaster,if you are interested in giving jake a home,you will need to have some understanding of his disabilities,and subsequently,what this means for his future care requirements,preference will be given to someone who has previous experience of caring for animals/birds with a disability,we think he is around 16 weeks of age,and he was origioanlly an aviary bird,not that you would ever know,he is honestly,the most gentle,sweetest lovable baby we have ever raised,he has been reared since he was found in the nestbox around 6 weeks ago,he loves his toys,tickles and is an excellent eater too,if you think you can give jake the home he needs,please contact me for further details,but please note,he will not be ready for another couple of weeks,we are advertising now,as we need to be sure,that jake loves his new prospective mummy or daddy as much as they love him,so a few visits will be required to assure we have made the right desicion for him,pictures of the little dude will follow soon . he will come with an appropriate cage (all horizontal bars for ease of climbing)food and toys,thanks for reading
